Simple, Not Easy

At the heart of the 24Xtreme Challenge is our belief that doing hard things on purpose shapes character, builds resilience, and connects us to something greater than ourselves. This is not just a walk—it’s a statement that we are stronger together, united by purpose and driven by determination.

Our Journey of Impact

Every mile we walk is a step toward hope, unity, and impact. This free event is attempting to raise over $50,000 each for three powerful causes— Freed People, fighting human trafficking in Texas, Operation Enduring Support, aiding U.S. Special Operations Forces and their families, and Live Like Knox, honoring a legacy of kindness through scholarships for students who embody empathy and inclusivity.

No fees—just commitment, resilience, and a mission to make a difference.

Walk for heroes. Walk for survivors. Walk with purpose.

FAQs

No, this event is completely free to join. The only “cost” is your commitment and perseverance to challenge yourself, support the cause, and inspire others along the way.

Yes! We encourage you to donate to all three charities.

Please see the individual charity’s websites for the detailed description of how funds will be used.

Here are some suggestions for what to bring to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience:

Comfortable Walking Shoes: Proper footwear is essential for endurance and avoiding blisters.

Weather-Appropriate Clothing: Dress in layers and bring rain gear if necessary.

Snacks and Hydration: Pack lightweight, energy-boosting snacks (like granola bars or trail mix) and a refillable water bottle.

Supportive Gear: Consider a small backpack, a hat, and sunscreen for sun protection.

Lighting for Night Walking: Bring a flashlight or headlamp for visibility after dark.

Personal Items: Any necessary medications, a phone charger/power bank, and a small first aid kit.

No, you don’t have to walk the full 24 hours! Participants have the option to choose between walking for the full 24 hours or a 12-hour duration. The challenge is about pushing your personal limits—whether that’s a full day or half-day commitment is entirely up to you.

There is no strict age limit for this event. However, participants should ensure that their bodies are healthy enough to handle the physical demands of walking for 12 or 24 hours. If you have any concerns about your ability to participate, we recommend consulting with a healthcare professional before registering.

Read This Before You Lace Up!

This challenge is brought to you by two regular guys—Ken Wimberly and Eliud Sangabriel—with a passion for pushing limits and making an impact. We're here to inspire, guide, and share what’s worked for us, but let’s be real: we’re not doctors, therapists, or miracle workers (though Eliud does have some pretty impressive biceps 😊).

Participation is at your own risk—this means you’re responsible for knowing your own limits and making informed decisions about your health and safety. We strongly encourage you to consult with your own medical professionals, nutritionists, or any other experts you trust before joining this challenge. Got questions about your fitness level, an old injury, or what to eat to fuel your body? Don’t wing it—ask the pros.

Our advice is based on personal experience and is meant to motivate, not medicate. Listen to your body, and if something feels off during the event, don’t push through—rest, hydrate, or even call it a day if needed. This challenge is about growth, not recklessness.

By participating, you agree to take full responsibility for your own body, mind, and decisions. We're here to cheer you on, but ultimately, this journey is yours.

Now, let’s have some fun, raise some funds, and crush some limits together!

PS: If you’re allergic to disclaimers with humor, you might want to sit this one out.
